We lost a good soul on April 10. Mr. Vincent Miranda was a community leader and an active member of the Baton Rouge community.
He served many years as a volunteer at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, giving Communion to hospital patients. A dedicated family man and business leader and devoted Catholic, he remembered the Diocese of Baton Rouge in his estate plans to benefit his beloved seminarians.
His son, Webb Miranda, recalled his father’s last words, “take care of my seminarians, son.” Mr. Miranda believed in the future of the Catholic Church and wanted to be a part of the future.
Vincent humbly once said, “We are all needed. We are all part of the same diocese working and giving together.”
Mr. Miranda requested that memorial gifts to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge, in support of vocations, be made in his memory.
