Hispanic Apostolate for the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge Accounting Assistant Part-Time Temporary Position
General Statement of Duties
Performs basic accounting functions in accordance with standard bookkeeping procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance. Performs basic clerical and administrative duties as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements
High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of one to three years related experience required.
Typing skills and attention to detail and time management are required.
Proficient in accounting systems, knowledge of standard bookkeeping procedures, and demonstrates ability to learn.
Other Requirements
Attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical and problem-solving skills required.
Strong interpersonal skills essential.
Ability to exercise good judgment in handling difficult and/or sensitive situations, with ability to maintain confidentiality in all transactions.
Ability to exercise good organizational and time management skills, ability to manage projects and multiple priorities.
Must be a team player.
