This week we join Catholic schools across the nation in celebrating National Catholic Schools Week with the theme, Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community, in recognition of the immeasurable contributions of Catholic schools that currently serve some 1.7 million students.
We are especially grateful for the many people and partnerships that have contributed to the wonderful legacy and success of Catholic schools in the Diocese of Baton Rouge. As a community, we pause this week to honor all Catholic schools throughout our diocese, where teachers and administrators serve daily with the shared vision that Christ is the foundation for all that we do and is what unifies us as a faith-filled community.
We are grateful for the profound commitment to Catholic education from Bishop Duca, our pastors, parishioners, parents, grandparents, principals, staff, faculty, and the broader community. It is through this collective dedication that we can Evangelize Hearts, Educate Minds, Encourage Talents, and Embrace the Future!
Together, we joyfully embrace Catholic Schools Week in the Diocese of Baton Rouge with special events to be held at our schools as well as diocesan-wide events, to include the Distinguished Leadership Dinner on January 29, Catholic Schools Week Mass January 31, ending the week with the Showcase of Arts & Talents on February 2.
