Knights of Peter Claver presents awards

The Knights of Peter Claver Wilfred B. Ricard Council/Court 116 recently held an awards ceremony for the Junior Branch 116 at Immaculate Conception Church in Baton Rouge on July 10.  

The theme celebrated and recognized the outstanding work and dedication that went into making the achievements possible.

During the ceremony it was noted the dedication of the Junior Knight Commander Gerald Berzat, the Junior Daughter Counselor Deana Christy in the training of Branch 116, has had a tremendous effect on the juniors.  

During the Louisiana State Junior Knight Conference in June Junior Knight Branch 116 was recognized as the 2022 State Junior Knight Branch of the Year. Junior Knight Zyphele Prince-Gibson was elected State Junior Conference State Sergeant-at-Arms and Junior Daughter Aja Freeman was elected LA State Junior Conference First Lay Board Member.

Junior Knight Dajon Trudell received the annual scholarship of $1,500.00 from the Wilfred B. Ricard Council 116.  The annual award was presented by the Scholarship Committee Chair Aubrey Jones Jr., Trudell plans to attend Southern University.
