Priest: My brothers and sisters, let us rejoice as we pray to God who sends us forth to heal, preach, and spread peace to the world.
Deacon (or other reader if there is no deacon):
- For the evangelizing mission of the Church, that it continues to bear fruit in every corner of the world, we pray to the Lord...
- For our country as we celebrate its birth, we may exult in her success and work to spread prosperity to all her people especially the vulnerable, we pray to the Lord...
- For the people of Ukraine, those who have died, and the millions who have fled and seek refuge in other countries, especially for the children, we pray to the Lord....
- For our military personnel serving around the world, may they continue to strive to give the freedom that our country enjoys, we pray to the Lord...
- For all who are traveling over this holiday weekend, may they be protected and kept safe, we pray to the Lord...
- For God’s mercy and protection from devastating storms this hurricane season, for protection of life and property for future weather events, we pray to the Lord…
- For our parish community of (add your parish name), may we cast out harmful spirits and share in God’s abundant harvest of love and peace, we pray to the Lord...
- For all who have died, especially [add deceased names or “parishioners of” (add your parish name)], and for the intentions of this mass [add mass intentions], may they who passed from this life, be comforted in heaven, we pray to the Lord...
- We pray in silence for our intentions and the special intentions of others through Jesus… [pause; the presider alone concludes…]
Priest: God of abundance, you give us all good things in order that your kingdom may be firmly established: hear our prayers that we might enjoy with you everlasting life. Through Christ our Lord. AMEN.
LITURGY NEWS AND NOTES:

July 2-3, 2022 Cycle C
- For the Penitential Act, a sample may be: You came to save us from sickness and death; You came to preach the good news of your kingdom; You came to share with all the peace of your kingdom…
- Recommended Preface could be either Ordinary Time 1 or 4, referring to the gift of salvation given to all people. You may consider using Eucharistic Prayer IV with its proper Preface, which refers to preaching the good news to the poor and freeing those in bondage.
- Prayer Over the People # 11 could be used.
