Reminders
A deacon or altar server is needed to hold the ritual for the Renewal of Baptismal Promises of the Candidates (immediately after the homily), since the priest(s) present join the bishop in the extension of hands at the end (also stated in ‘Ministerial Roles pg. 2 #7’).
The procession of gifts at Preparation of the Gifts is for altar bread, wine (not water) and collection, if taken up (also stated in document ‘General Reminders for Guidelines for Confirmation 2a’).
During the Universal Prayer of the Faithful (a.k.a. General Intercessions, Prayers of the Faithful,) gift bearers should go to entrance of Church to be ready to bring up the gifts at those prayers conclusion (or immediately after Sunday Mass collection) (also stated in document ‘General Reminders for Guidelines for Confirmation 2b’).
Please also note that all Eucharistic Prayers in the new Roman Missal contain special additional prayers for Confirmation.
The bishop will bring a laminated card with that (He generally always uses Eucharistic Prayer III)
After “your servants ___________ our Pope and Michael our Bishop, the Order of Bishops, all the clergy, and the entire people you have gained for your own.” (Catholic Book, p. 505)
Remember also, Lord, your servants reborn in Baptism whom you have been pleased to confirm by bestowing the Holy Spirit, and in your mercy, keep safe in them your grace.
and before “Listen graciously to the prayers of this family” (Catholic Book, p. 506)
