Consecrated Men & Women

As the Liaison to Consecrated Men and Women, Sr. Joan LaPlace possesses many collaborative roles which allow Bishop Duca greater dialogue with the men and women who serve in our parishes and apostolates in Baton Rouge. She is responsible to:

• Coordinate with Pastors and Parishes the annual Retirement Fund for Religious Collection every December to benefit consecrated persons who have served the Church so generously;
• Prepare the annual Jubilee Mass celebration for consecrated persons celebrating 25 or more years of religious service;
• Act as the Bishop's resentative in matters regarding Consecrated Life in the Diocese of Baton Rouge;
• Be available to individual members of congregations and institutes as a resource for addressing specific needs.
