The Office of Life, Peace, and Justice of the Diocese of Baton Rouge, in coordination with its Prison Ministry, is conducting a campaign to stop death penalty executions in Louisiana. Two more executions have been scheduled, the first one on May 28 of Darrell Draughn and the second one on June 4 of Marcus Reed. If nothing derails them, these next executions will take place soon after the first execution in Louisiana in 15 years, last March 28 of Jessie Hoffman. The Office of Life, Peace, and Justice has initiated a campaign to ask Governor Jeff Landry to stop these executions and to end the death penalty.
