Nationally, we are celebrating Catholic Sisters Week during the week of March 8 - 14, 2021.
This is an opportunity for our parishioners to remember in prayer the women who have devoted their lives to Christ and served our community. In the Diocese of Baton Rouge we are blessed to have 13 religious congregations serving our community.
They include the following:
Sisters of the Congregation of the Mother of Carmel (Paincourtville)
Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet (Baton Rouge)
Congregation of St. Joseph (Baton Rouge, New Roads)
Daughters of Mary Mother of the Church (Clinton, Vacherie & Zachary)
Mercedarian Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament (Baton Rouge)
Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur (Baton Rouge)
Hospitaler Sisters of Mercy (Zachary)
Incarnatio Consecrato Missio (Baton Rouge) Missionaries of Charity (Baton Rouge)
Marianites of Holy Cross (Hammond)
Dominican Sisters of Peace (Ponchatoula)
Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady (Baton Rouge)

On Monday, March 8, 2021, Bishop Duca will dedicate his 8 a.m. mass from St. Joseph Chapel at the Tracy Center for these women.
The mass will be streamed on Catholic Life TV Baton Rouge. Please join us in prayer Monday morning.
The Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR), an association of leaders of congregations of Catholic women religious in the United States, are dedicating Catholic Sisters Week to feeding the hungry in our communities. They are adopting the theme “Challenge to End Hunger”. Please consider making a donation in the name of the sisters to either
St. Vincent de Paul Dining Room or
The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.
