The St. Vincent de Paul Society will host the “Count Your Blessings To Geaux Soup Parade” Friday, March 12, 4-7 p.m., at the Our Lady of Mercy Church Parish Activity Center parking lot, 445 Marquette Ave., Baton Rouge. Chef John Folse will prepare a Lenten soup of spinach, artichoke and crabmeat bisque. For convenient travel and to avoid hot soup spills the soup will be distributed in 2-lb. bags (each serves four, 8-oz. servings). Heating instructions are included. Cost is $40 per two-pound bag.
