Dynamics of Poverty Workshop

Hope Ministries, a past recipient of the Bishop Stanley J. Ott Works of Mercy Trust Fund grant, will present a workshop, “Understanding the Dynamics of Poverty,” Thursday, Sept. 28, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., at Hope of Baton Rouge, 4643 Winbourne Ave., Baton Rouge. The cost of the workshop is $179 (with Early Bird Special registration by Friday, Sept. 8) or $199 after Sept. 8. The seminar is recommended for anyone who works with those raised in or near the poverty, including clergy, teachers, social workers, employers, community volunteers and anyone seeking to make a difference. The workshop is approved for six continuing education hours by the National Association of Social Workers, Louisiana Chapter.
