Lent :: Prayer Resources
As Catholics, we are called to return to God, Our Father, and grow in relationship with Him through the act of prayer. Prayer is not meant to be frightening or intimidating, but rather an entry point into a beautiful relationship with Christ. St. Thérèse of Lisieux once wrote, "For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy." During this Lenten season, you are invited to enter into a time of prayer, allowing your gaze to be turned toward heaven and your heart to be renewed by the Lord.
Since the dawn of Christianity pilgrims have prayerfully retraced the steps of Jesus’ path to Calvary. Following in their footsteps, we experience the Stations of the Cross discovered uniquely in our local churches, as we seek to encounter our Lord while meditating on His most Holy Passion.
