Ministries of Hope

Carriers of Hope serves Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and surrounding areas by providing caskets free of charge for families experiencing miscarriage or early infant loss. 

Prison Ministry is a diocesan pastoral care ministry through which a network of parishes, organizations, and volunteers share Christ's healing ministry with those who are incarcerated. This ministry's objective is to provide spiritual and corporal assistance to the imprisoned and support and guidance to paroled and released prisoners as they re-enter society. 

All Are Welcome is a ministry for individuals with special and exceptional needs and their families. This ministry provides support for parents and caregivers, as well as opportunities for children with special needs to engage in their Catholic faith (such as Sensory-Friendly Masses). 

Vagabond Missions is a ministry that builds friendships with and serves teens in urban and inner-city communities through weekly programs, outreach, and personal mentorship.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge, rooted in our faith, prioritizes the well-being of children by providing compassionate, research-driven adoption services. We welcome families of all backgrounds, striving to make adoption affordable and accessible, while offering lifelong support to adoptees, birth families, and adoptive parents.
