Baton Rouge, La — Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge is urging those who want to help to make donations to Catholic Charities USA.
Louisiana is no stranger to hurricanes and the damage they can cause. Our neighbors in west Florida are trying to begin recovery after Hurricane Ian left millions without water or power.
Catholic Charities USA is considered the official domestic relief agency of the U.S. Catholic Church, and has set up a disaster donation page with 100 percent of the proceeds going to support local people impacted by Hurricane Ian.
“After experiencing numerous disasters, we know that cash is best right now,” said David Aguillard, CCDBR executive director. “Donations allow local agencies to obtain the resources and supplies as needs arise and evolve.”
