On July 23, 2024, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge took home three awards at the Capitol Area United Way Annual Meeting: the Corporate Partner of the Year Award, the Going the Extra Mile Award and the Community Builder Award.
The recipient of the Corporate Partner of the Year Award stands out from the rest. In addition to qualifying for the Excellence Award, they also achieve all the following:
Employee Giving
Supports CAUW’s community investments with at least 80% of its employee giving total
Supports CAUW’s community investments with the CEO/LSM gift of $1,500 or more
Increased number of leadership givers or leadership givers
Corporate Giving
A minimum of a 20% increase in current year support to CAUW – through corporate, sponsorships and/or employee giving over the previous year
Partners with CAUW in Education, Health, Income Stability and Basic Needs; and/or raises visibility and awareness of CAUW’s impact in the community

The Going the Extra Mile Award is presented to all campaigns that increase the workplace campaign by 10% and attend Employee Campaign Coordinator trainings.
The Community Builder Award is presented to the company and nonprofit with the largest Employee Average from each tier listed below and 51%+ participation. CCDBR was one of the two agencies that received this award this year.
