Diocese of Baton Rouge Clergy Appointment

Bishop Duca makes the following Personnel Appointments effective 13 February 2023:

Fr. James Singarayar, HGN, a priest of the Heralds of the Good News, has concluded his service as Administrator of Holy Family in Port Allen on 31 January 2023.  Bishop Duca thanks Fr. Singarayar and his community, the Heralds of the Good News, for allowing him to serve temporarily in the Diocese of Baton Rouge. 

Fr. Jamin David is appointed as Administrator of Holy Family in Port Allen.  He will retain his many assignments including his pastorate of St. Margaret, Queen of Scotland in Albany and as Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia.

Deacon Minos Ponville will serve as Parish Life Coordinator of Holy Family in Port Allen under Fr. David’s supervision and will manage the day-to-day pastoral affairs of the parish. 

It is Bishop Duca’s plan to announce a new pastor before 01 July 2023.
