Count Your Blessings To Geaux

This year’s St. Vincent de Paul Society’s Count Your Blessings March 12 at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Baton Rouge was a successful drive-through event. The soup parade featured Chef John Folse’s Lenten soup of Spinach, Artichoke and Crabmeat bisque. From left, Bishop Michael G. Duca, Bishop Emeritus Robert W. Muench and Folse give dinners out to the long line of drivers who came to get soup. Also present were Father Cleo Milano, OLOM pastor, and John Pastorek, who presented a Count Your Blessings message on the OLOM radio channel, and OLOM and SVDP staff. Proceeds from the event will be used to support the charitable works of SVDP.The Catholic Commentator
