The exhibit “Michelangelo: A Different View,” scheduled Sept. 1-30 at Raising Cane’s River Center in Baton Rouge, has been postponed because of Hurricane Ida.
“As our building is still being used as a shelter for residents displaced by Hurricane Ida, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Michelangelo again to 2022,” said Alysia DesCoteaux Guin, marketing manager for the facility.
This is the second time the exhibit has been rescheduled. The first was in the spring of 2020 because of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
One thing remains the same, the exhibit will offer those who have never been to Rome or who have been but only have seen from a distance, an up-close view of Michelangelo’s ceiling frescos in the Sistine Chapel.
It is not known at this time what the new scheduled dates will be, but information will be forthcoming.
