Woman’s New Life Clinic’s annual Born to Run Baton Rouge 5K & 1/2-mile Fun Run presented by The Parable Foundation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16 at North Boulevard Town Square in downtown Baton Rouge. The 1/2-mile Fun Run will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 9 a.m. Registration includes a post-race “Birth”day Party with free food, music, and fun for the whole family.
Bishop Michael G. Duca will lead the opening prayer, Deacon Michael Parker will be the emcee, and Catholic Community Media’s Jeff Blackwell will be the D.J.
This year’s event is the largest Born to Run yet with 1,000 registrants.
Proceeds will benefit Woman’s New Life Clinic’s programs and services for women facing unplanned pregnancies and surrounding issues in the Greater Baton Rouge area and the Gulf South.
Founded in 2001, Woman’s New Life Clinic is a professional counseling and medical clinic that serves women facing unplanned pregnancies with free services, including pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, professional counseling, abortion pill reversal, case management, and material support. It also offers low-cost women’s health services provided by its Nurse Practitioner, such as STI testing and treatment, urgent gynecologic care, prenatal care (up to 20 weeks), and more.
Born to Run – Baton Rouge registration includes food and entertainment. Online registration ends on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 11:59 p.m. On-site registration will be available the morning of the race beginning at 7:30 a.m.
