Deacon Candidate Class of 2025 St. John the Evangelist, Prairieville
I was born and raised in Chalmette. After coming to LSU for college, I made Prairieville home. My beautiful wife, Deirdre, and I have been happily married for 26 years, and we are blessed with four wonderful children. We are parishioners of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. I work for AnSer Answering Service and have been doing this since 1989. I enjoy this work because it is important for me to do something of value in service to others. My journey to the Diaconate began 38 years ago, when my mother said that I would make a good Deacon one day. The final “nudge” occurred during an A.C.T.S. retreat. The Diaconate formation program has been a wonderful experience as we are learning from priests, theologians, and each other. It is important for me to learn that through prayer, study, and meditation, I can always be open to let the Holy Spirit work through me to help others grow closer to God.
