I was born in Vung Tau, Vietnam and came to the United States in 1991 when I was 19 years old. I am a graduate of the University of Louisiana Monroe and have been working as a pharmacist for the past 20 years. My wife, Thuy, and I have been married for 17 years and are blessed with three beautiful daughters: Holly, 14, Emily, 13, and Katelyn, 11. My diaconate journey began seven years ago when I heard Fr. Toan Vu’s personal account of his harrowing journey to America and ultimate conversion. It was then that I recognized my abundant blessings from God which led to my desire to serve Him. Now, I am in my fourth year of the deaconate program, and although the program is rigorous, I am truly enjoying it as I have learned so much about my faith. I look forward to learning more and growing closer to God.
