Most current sacramental registers are retained at the parish where the sacrament took place. Individuals in search of one’s own sacramental record from an active parish should contact that parish first.
If your personal sacramental records are housed in the Archives, please use the form below to request your own records.
Contact us if you have further questions about locating your sacramental records.
We only have school records for closed schools.
If the school is still open and active, please contact the school which you attended or where employed.
Contact us if you have further questions about locationg you school records.
The Diocese of Baton Rouge Archives Department can only provide certificates for Sacramental records physically located at the Diocesan Archives and Records Center. Please contact the Archives Department first to see if the sacramental record you are interested in is in our collection. You will need to contact the individual Church Parish where the sacrament occurred if the record is not in our possession.
