St. Anne Mission was founded in 1953, the same year that the chapel was built on land donated by Russel Tullier. It was dedicated as a mission of Holy Rosary Parish, St. Amant under the pastorship of Father August Wysoff.
On March 31, 1962, the mission of St. Anne was transferred to St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Darrow. After much dialogue between the people and Bishop Robert E. Tracy, St. Anne was made a parish with Father Louis Persac as its first pastor.
Father Persac was officially installed on Sunday, August 18, 1963. Under his pastorship a modern, brick rectory was built and dedicated in 1970. In February of 1978, soon after receiving a fresh coat of paint, the church building was destroyed by fire. Plans for a new church building were made and on October 21, 1979, the present brick structure was dedicated by Bishop Joseph Sullivan. Today St. Anne and St. Anthony of Padua are clustered with one priest serving the needs of both parishes.
