"Supper at Emmaus" was painted by Blair Piras (Blair Barlow Art), a sacred artist who grew up in the Diocese of Baton Rouge. The painting was commissioned by the Diocese of Baton Rouge for the Eucharistic Revival, which is currently taking place throughout the United States.
The artwork depicts the meal the disciples shared with Jesus after encountering Him on the Road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35). In the painting, you will see that the setting, figures and objects represented are familiar, as they represent South Louisiana culture and our local Church.
