The Office of Life, Peace, and Justice in partnership with United by BBQ and Thomas' Table would like to invite representatives from each parish in our diocese for a discussion on how we can partner together to be prepared to respond with food and support in the event of a natural disaster. We are hoping to partner with United by BBQ which is a non-profit organization that has served meals to over 605,000 people during over 60 natural disasters. They are set up set up to prepare and dispatch between 2,000 - 3,000 meals a day. The partnership has two goals - to help us to prepare to support people in our diocese during a disaster and to support United by BBQ with their mission by assisting them with preparation and distribution of meals during a disaster. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 26th in the parish hall at St. Margarette Queen of Scotland Church in Albany. Dinner will be provided.
